August is almost over...

So August isn't over yet but close enough. Here is a recap of my favorite month of the year! Laura had a fun Carl's Jr. birthday. We aren't doing toys anymore so she got a lot of clothes which she was excited about. Usually she is receiving hand me downs so she was happy. Plus Grandma and Grandpa Salisbury got her a Barbie and she used Grandma and Grandpa Olsen's money to buy a High School Musical Book with a singing keychain (yeah!). We made strawberry cupcakes with vanilla frosting for her with her own special heart cake. We celebrated with the Olsen's, Ashlin, and our friend Jill. I had a wonderful birthday the next day. My Mom took Ashlin and me to get pedicures and then lunch. We went shopping and I bought some new shirts with my birthday money. Then my Mom and Jim took us (along with Ashlin and Jesse) to the Mayan for
dinner. All in all great birthdays for the both of us. We also had some fun this summer going to free lunch at the parks. One day after lunch we headed to another park not too far from us with fountains shooting out of the ground and a man made stream. The girls had a blast splashing around and pretending to be mermaids. And for all of you Seinfeld fans out there you will appreciate this. Lately Kate has to eat everything with a fork; cheerios, bananas, and even desserts like donuts!

A fork? Which episode was that? That sounds like AFV material! You should post something to Youtube!

Glad your birthdays were fun. I saw the picture of you two birthday girls on the pre-school blog and it was really good of both of you. Those who wish to can check it out at smartypantspreschool.blogspot.com

You're both beautiful.

Love,

Grandma O.

You posted on my blog:

It is the one where Elaine sees Mr.Pit eating his Snickers Bar with a fork and tells the guys about it and pretty soon she keeps seeing people eat desserts like cookies and candy bars with forks. It is a pretty funny one but I guess they are all pretty funny.

That sounds funny. I'll have to see if I can find it on Netflix.

HAPPY BIRTHDAYS! I've been thinking about you guys, and maybe it's because I subconsciously knew it was your B-day. Sorry I am so bad at keeping track...I do love you, though!
